Sc.M. student/Brown University
Tangtangfang Fang
I am a Sc.M. student in Biomedical Engineering at Brown University, advised by Prof. Benjamin B. Kimia in the LEMS Lab. I received my BSc (Hons) in Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence from the University of Nottingham Ningbo China. My research interests span deep learning, computer vision, medical image restoration, and time-series anomaly detection.

About
My research combines methodological reasoning with hands-on system building. I develop and test ideas through implementation and experimental evaluation, with close attention to how data, representations, and evaluation choices shape the conclusions we can draw.
Alongside research, I independently develop software systems and tools, from package build infrastructure to command-line utilities and native applications. I bring the same engineering approach to research, building tools for reproducible experiments, camera synchronization, and compute monitoring implementations.
